Love, Life and the Pursuit of Happiness

We're married! Things couldn't be any better for my husband and I. Soon we will have our photos from the wedding photographer and I couldn't be more excited. We had an incredible ceremony, a lovely reception and one heck of a honeymoon! Our cabin in Gatlinburg was charming and romantic while our visit to Dollywood was exciting.
It hasn't even been two months and we're already one busy married couple - but not too busy to make plans with friends. Our work gave us free tickets to Kentucky Kingdom before it was open to the public, we invited my best friend and her recent boyfriend. Another trip in just two weeks has been planned for the four of us to the Ohio Zoo :D
Oh and did I meNTION THE ALL TIME LOW CONCERT!?! HOLY SHIT THAT WAS A GREAT NIGHT!
Right now, I'm working on creating a display for our vows, of which I treasure so incredibly much. We're loving living up here, sure, we're nearly an hour from our family's but it's so worth it to be on our own, happily married and beginning our lives together.
Its great to be a Reedy (:

Busy Month

My honey's birthday was celebrated this passed Wednesday at a local restaurant in our tiny town. It was a magnificent and peaceful dinner that ended with some pumpkin pie. Yummm. Let's not ignore the fact that it began with steak and ribs, haha..
For his first birthday that we were together, my dad and I went out to Wal Mart, and I decided to buy him this really cool Ironman watch. Waterproof, silicone texture, charcoal gray and orange highlights.. you could set alarms, time yourself, etc. I thought it was perfect! Well, he loved it; however, it has gotten lost over the years ): I had come to the decision more recently that it was about damn time to replace it.
My new favorite site deserves a mention, as it has revolutionized my wedding, beautified my home and has added to my jewelry collection, as well as give some splendiforous gift ideas: Etsy.

I also ordered his anniversary gift from a seller on Etsy who made it by hand, and engraved it for me:

On a wedding note...
I've sent out those pesky invitations and am expecting returns any day now. I'm becoming fairly anxious about their arrival and I'm just too excited to wait any longer.
We finally dropped off my dress at the dry cleaners! Two darn weeks. Oh well, it's not like it is essential for it to sit in my closet. I've noticed the large accumulation of wedding junk and I'm itching to get rid of it. Anything that isn't personalized or meaningful to me, is up for sale!
To lessen the wedding load, I have given Matt a few more responsibilities. He, alone, will plan out our honeymoon (:
Since it would be impossible for me to be everywhere at once on my wedding day, I thought it would be simpler to create a to-scale map of where table and chair locations would be. In order to have complete accuracy, I'll need my RSVPs to draw up a total. I ordered all of those tablecloths I'm going to need. Phew, was that pricey. I'm really hoping I can make at least a decent chunk back from them afterward.

All That We've Accomplished Thus Far

4 more months!
I'm so excited, yet I'm also nervous concerning whether or not I can pull this wedding off..
First and foremost, it isn't a simple task to plan and pay for a wedding practically by yourself. I mean, sure, I have Matt's help, but his dude-ness is reluctant to really give advice or help out with color choices n such. I've done so much planning up to this point, I'm exhausted while still staying strong and striving to work at it..
A lot has been accomplished in the passed five months that we've been engaged. The venue was the easiest (as it had been set in my mind for years, since I was in middle school as I saw a lantern-lit reception in the courtyard at the Brown Pusey House in our towns square). Sure, that was a few years before I had ever met Matt, but whatever. I'm a dreamer.
I'm struggling with the decision whether to rent canopy tents, or not for the wedding.. Also, the lighting at the reception (outdoor and in the evening without much provided lighting).
I'm stoked to be ordering my invitations this weekend with my holiday paycheck (which I worked soo very hard for).
I have already had my dress for quite awhile now; however, it is in desperate need of a good dry cleaning. I ordered and received all of my dress accessories and am entirely finished with all of those aspects of the dress.
Pretty soon, I'll be scheduling hair and nail appointments for myself and probably Tori, as well.
And before I know it, I'll be laying down the deposit for our cabin in Tennessee :D
Our dating anniversary is in a little over two weeks and I absolutely cannot wait. Gahhh I'm so happy, its unbelievable.
At this point, I only need a few more tiny things to pull a lot of it together. We have very few large payments left and it feels so good (:
One of our coworkers has offered to make our cake for free. I already have it picked out and have discussed it with him - which he has confirmed that it is well within his ability (yay-ness).
I finally ordered that darn maid of honor gift!
Food is still a hugeeee issue. Can't really do much unless I know my guest list count.
I finished making my ring box. It was fun and I'll be happy to keep it forever (:

We've been in our new apartment for some time, now... It has been spectacular :D Couldn't be happier.
I update this as often as I can concerning wedding stuff:
